ABOUT US
Since we began in 2018, Two Hearts Therapy has been known for exceptional allied health services. Our passion for animals drew us towards a different approach to therapy.
Our founders, Cassie Allison and Bethany van Barneveld were inspired to start a private practice free from clinical walls, at Two Hearts Therapy you can get your hands dirty with a smile on your face. We love our beautiful Mount Cotton farm, the quiet of the surrounding conservation land and have therapists that care. Allow yourself or your child to embrace the outdoors and grow with the support of a caring and safe environment.

CASSANDRA ALLISON
Senior Occupational Therapist
Cassie has always been passionate about horses. Now a registered instructor, for many years she worked with local pony clubs to encourage and educate younger riders. Cassie is a wonderful addition to the OT world, and is just a big kid at heart. She can be found playing with her two horses Will and Linkin on weekends and spending time with her puppy, Dee Dee.

ALLISON HEWITT
Occupational Therapist
Allison is a graduate Occupational Therapist who has gained valuable paediatric experience over the course of studying for her degree. She has found a love for working with children and their families in clinic and school-based placements as well as working in their home as a mobile therapy assistant and support worker. On her days off, Allison enjoys spending time with her family dog Bobbie, having beach days and going on camping trips with her friends.

HOLLY CHAMBERS
Occupational Therapist
Holly graduated as an OT in 2016 and has worked with a wide range of clients since then. As a teenager, she volunteered at a Riding for the Disabled centre and from there Holly knew she wanted to incorporate horses into therapy. Nothing makes her prouder than seeing my clients grow and overcome their anxieties and interacting with animals with a smile on their face.

INGERLISA MATTHEWS
Play Therapist
Ingerlisa's journey over the past 20 years has taken her on a diverse and dynamic journey allowing her to develop a unique set of skills that she now brings to her play therapy sessions at Two Hearts. Ingerlisa's passion for non-directive client led therapy allows her to hold a safe and reflective space for her clients to work through challenging emotional and social experiences. In the play therapy room, all behaviour has meaning and it is the quality of relationship with the play therapist that helps to understand the meaning of these behaviours within the child’s relationships. In her free time, Ingerlisa enjoys spending quality time with my husband and two children and being outdoors.

ELISE O'DONNELL
Music Therapist
Registered Music Therapist Elise O’Donnell unites her passion for music and assisting others through her work. Graduating from her Masters of Music Therapy in 2020, she is also an accredited Neurologic Music Therapist, and has worked with a wide range of people of all ages and abilities through the NDIS. She obtained a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in classical voice and has a background in disability support work for children with autism and therefore strives to improve the quality of life for individuals and families. Elise loves to watch her client’s learn and thrive as they share in music together.
